The word tatreez comes from the Arabic word tarza, meaning stitch. After selling out our first two screenings in less than 24 hours, we decided to add more dates. Recently shortlisted for this year’s Academy Awards in the Best International Feature category, From Ground Zero @from.ground.zero is a groundbreaking collection of 22 short films crafted by Palestinian filmmakers living through the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Each short film, spanning 3 to 6 minutes, explores the struggles and hopes of life under siege through various genres, including fiction, documentary, animation, and experimental cinema.
