Settlement Services
Immigrant Settlement and Adaptation Program (ISAP) is funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada to provide initial settlement services for all newcomers to meet their immediate adaptation needs. Some of these services encompass general information about life in Canada, and others such as:
- Healthcare
- Education
- Employment
- Transportation
- Housing
- Social assistance
- Translation and interpretation
- Referral to community resources
- Youth settlement services
Services are offered in our offices on a one-to-one basis, in group session format, and in other locations such as schools and community centers and through information booths. We also provide novel settlement services for newcomer youth. To learn more about governmental settlement programs, please visit www.cic.gc.ca.
Our clients have access to: computers, internet, photocopier and fax machine.
Our staff speak the following three languages English, Arabic, Mandarin, and Urdu.
Services are also provided on a voluntarily basis in Polish, Russian, and Bulgarian.
